Unit Evaluation - week 1
So...a little of change of programme on Wednesday ...students were tired ... it seems like every teacher they visit is testing them at the moment, so we did the Quote Bingo and I've pushed the setting lesson back to next week. Quote Bingo went down really well. The essay writing lesson kind of threw them in at the deep end. They seem to have forgotten everything...must ask them why. I had thought I could spend the whole lesson marking but ended up rotating between groups and guiding them one group at a time. Tomorrow...I'll recap the broad essay planning format, then we have a Friday afternoon lesson to watch the film so that students can gather details with an awareness of their knowledge gaps after today's poor attempt at writing a film essay.
Unit Evaluation - week 2
This class do not respond well to an activity that is given out as they walk in the door so the start of the Poetry lesson was a bit 'squiffy' and they took a while to settle down. Got some feedback from Gosoapbox.com (as below)
